Finding Your Rhythm

An Anxiety & OCD Therapy Group

Anxious or obsessive thoughts can feel like they’re running the show. This group is a chance to slow that down, to understand what’s actually happening in those moments, and build some new ways of responding.

Finding Your Rhythm is an 8-week, co-ed group for adults dealing with anxiety and/or OCD. It blends counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and music therapy in a small, supportive setting.

You don’t need any musical background to take part. Music might show up through listening, songwriting, rhythm, or mindfulness exercises, but it’s never about getting it “right.” It’s simply another way in, to notice and work with what you’re experiencing.

Over the 8 weeks, you’ll get a clearer picture of how anxiety and OCD work and what keeps them going, pick up CBT strategies you can actually use when anxious or obsessive thoughts show up, and try out music, mindfulness, and other creative tools for coping and self-awareness.

This is a closed group, so the same people meet together each week, which tends to make it easier to open up and build trust as the weeks go on.

Finding Your Rhythm is facilitated by Michaella Braamse, a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) completing her master’s in counseling as a practicum student, under the clinical supervision of Danica Henrich, ATR-BC, LPC, LMFT.
