About Molly

Molly is an Art Therapist and counselor who offers a warm, steady presence for people moving through life’s many turning points. She understands that transitions-whether they come with excitement, grief, uncertainty, or all three-can shake the foundations of daily life. Her practice creates a space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and begin to imagine what comes next with clarity and compassion.

She supports individuals navigating changes such as divorce, graduation, moving, changing schools, shifting careers, transitioning from military to civilian life, returning to the community after incarceration, navigating changing relationship with substances, and other moments when life feels unfamiliar or in flux. Molly helps clients explore what they’re leaving behind, what they’re stepping into, and how to move forward in ways that feel grounded and authentic.

Creativity is woven into everything Molly does. She views art therapy and counseling as a powerful way to access inner wisdom, especially during times when words alone feel limiting. Through creative expression, clients can explore emotions that feel tangled or overwhelming, see their stories from new angles, and reconnect with parts of themselves that may have gone quiet during stress or transition. Creativity becomes a practice of possibility, an invitation to experiment, take risks, and gently build a new life from the inside out.

For clients who want to examine or change their relationship with alcohol or drugs, Molly facilitates art therapy as a supportive, nonjudgmental pathway into this work. Creative
processes can help people understand the emotional patterns connected to substance use, express experiences that feel too complex to articulate, and develop healthier, more
sustainable coping strategies. Art-making can also strengthen a sense of identity beyond substance use and nurture self-compassion, an essential ingredient in any meaningful change.

Molly’s clinical foundation is grounded in both training and lived experience in the creative process. She is a Resident in Counseling under supervision and working toward credentialing as a provisionally registered art therapist. She earned her Master of Science in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she developed a strong grounding in both clinical practice and the therapeutic use of art. Before becoming a therapist, Molly spent more than a decade working with people making art in community and educational settings. These years deepened her belief that creativity is a powerful catalyst for healing, connection, and personal transformation. Across all areas of her practice, Molly’s priority is creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and capable of growth. She walks alongside clients as they navigate uncertainty, rebuild trust in themselves, and shape a life that feels more aligned,
intentional, and hopeful.
